Individual Therapy
If you are new to therapy or returning to therapy, it is completely normal to be nervous or anxious about meeting a complete stranger for the first time and being more vulnerable than you have ever been. Many people do not know quite what to expect from their first therapy session and feel some ambivalence or apprehension about beginning the process of individual therapy. My role is to create a supportive and secure environment where you are able to freely feel, think, and be exactly who you are.

Carve out an intentional time for therapy, allowing yourself enough time before & after the session.

Prepare your favorite mug of hot tea or favorite non-alcoholic beverage that you would like to enjoy during the session. You can even light candles or incense if that’s your thing!
Expect some awkwardness at first. We are complete strangers, It’s normal! My hope is that you grow more comfortable overtime as we build rapport.
